2012 Highlights:  

Congratulations to Sally Rush on her first outing with her lovely mare DeNeuve. Sally says that despite the cold front coming through during the show and dropping temps from 68 to 35, she just got better and better with every ride.  "She has turned out to be a very kind and pretty mare with a nice uphill frame and great big gaits. She is a great joy to ride and own." DeNeuve is by Dauphin and out of EM Solei/Silvio and was bred by Woodridge Farm.

Congratulations to Cathy Balance, IL whose super mare Wisperle by Widmark out of our EM Arriana was Champion of her Mare Performance Test today with a remarkable 7.66. She was also Champion Mare (out of 15) of her AHS stud book inspection at Oakward Farm, IN and has now earned the title of Elite Mare Candidate. EMC Wisperle is a product of our Custom Breeding Program

Many of "our" horses were on show at the the Green Country Dressage Classic I and II in Claremore this last weekend. (If I missed anyone, please let me know, and remember - we always love to have photos!) Following are some of the highlights:

Allouette (Arrian/EM Witta) under owner/rider Amanda Edwards made their Fourth Level debut winning both Fourth Level 2 - Amateur classes with 65% and 63.784%

Our own Wradar came out of retirement for rider/trainer Laurie Hedlund and scored a 68.857% at Fourth Level Test 1. 

PH Gai Danseyn Wind by Frohwind owned and bred by Heather Lieblang and ridden by Heather Grady was 1st or 2nd in all his First Level Classes with scores to 65.435%

Lexington WF(Liberty Gold/EM Arriana) owned and ridden by Mimi Benton was 1st in both his Training Level Test 3 classes with scores of 70.8% and 72.2% which also earned  High Point Awards both days. He was 2 nd in both First Level 3 classes with 65% and 68.226%.  Theses scores also earned Mimi qualifying scores for Regional Finals.

Remember Baron?  He had a gelding son there, Bentley, owned by Mary Beach and ridden by Debbie Webster.  He won thre out of four of his Training Level classes with scores to 70.536%

This was the first recognized show for Holly Luke's Frohwind daughter Lust in the Wind.  They had very respectable scores up to 67.5% in their Training Level classes. 

The very beautiful Half Arabian gelding,  First Class Image, by Frohwind out of Flash of an Image owned and ridden by Kathleen Cannon was 1st placed in the very large Training Level Test 3 Amateur class with 69.2%

Congratulations to Kelly Horton and her 4 year old RoxStar WF (Rienzi/Tequila/Frohwind) on their success at the ADA Spring Celebration show in Scottsdale, AZ. This was Roxie's first recognized show. More photos

Congratulations to Sharon Zaidins who's wonderful horse, French Henry (Frohwind/Double Feature) made his Third Level debut last weekend at TDC I and II in Tyler, TX.  French Henry won all three of his classes with scores to 71.597 and the Champion Third Level award under Berndt Von Hassler.

2011 Highlights:  

 

Congratulations to Cyndi Craig whose Frohwind offspring did very well in the competition arena last year. In USEF Half-Arabian competition, Faxxsimile earned:

 

Region 9 Champion, H/A Sport Horse Open
Region 9 Champion, H/A Dressage First level Open
Region 9 Reserve CH, H/A Dressage First level Amateur

 

He was also top 20 in the national standings in H/A Sport Horse Open, with more than 200 horses ranked! In case it looks like he must be showing every weekend, Cyndi reports that " he only went to two shows last year! And he did not even go to the National Championshps!"

Congratulations to Cyndi Craig who earned her Bronze medal on her homebred mare, Fling by Frohwind at the HDS Winter shows. Her other two mounts by Frohwind had a very good year too:
In the HDS Year End Awards, Faxxsimile was Champion Training Level - Amateur
for the recognized show division. Faeryn (pictured above) was Reserve Champion at First level for the schooling show division. Both had averages over 70%. Cyndi received one of only 4 ‘premium’ certificates awarded for achieving a score of three scores of 70 or more at recognized shows. Two of those were on Faxx and one was on Faeryn!  In addition, Faxx was 4th nationally in the USEF “Silver Stirrup” awards at Training level AA. WTG!

2010 Highlights:  

.Deborah Etherington and her Wradar daughter, Farfalla, won both prelim classes with a 69% and 72% at her last affiliated show and qualified for the winter regional championships in Shropshire, England. Farfalla was also high score of the day with a 72% in prelim at their riding club championship show. WTG!

Also from England comes this lovely photo from Tracey Milner of her Domani WF by Dauphin out of our late EM Lambada. Tracey says: "He's competing at Medium level now, flying changes are fun! He qualified at the weekend to go to the Nationals next year, which is brilliant"  Congratulations!

Our own Double Take WF was the High Scoring Mare at our Inspections in September with 107 points and Premium award. She was also in the top 3 of all the mares presented in the Midwest Region in 2010.

 Faxxsimile+++/ by Frohwind, owned by Cyndi Craig, Houston ended up in the Top 20 in the nation among Adult Amateurs at Training Level with a 69% median in the USDF Year End Awards. There were more than 200 qualified horse/rider teams in this division. He was 20th. Even more impressive – he achieved that ranking with the minimum 8 scores required – so no dropped scores.  He was also the highest ranked amateur within Region 9 – TX, OK, LA and MS. Congratulations, Cyndi!

Congratulations to Cyndi Craig who's Frohwind daughter,   Faeryn, was Training Level Champion at the Texas Dressage Classic I in Tyler, Texas this April.  And in May, Faeryn was the Training Level Champion both days at the Dressage in the Pines Show in Bellville, Texas.  But wait...one more spring highlight for Cyndi and her Frohwind offspring.  Faxxsimile, Cyndi's Frohwind gelding, won every class entered during the end of May Spindletop Spring Arabian Horse Show in Katy, TX. 
Way to go Cyndi!!

2009 Highlights:

Deryn Stewart and her Hanoverian mare EMC D'Erin by Der Radetzky made their 4th Level debut at the May ODS Show. They won Fourth Level test 1 on the second day also earning the 4th Level Hi-Point award. WTG!  D'Erin was bred by Woodridge Farm. Update: At the June GCC show in Claremore D'Erin scored 71.6% at Fourth level test 3!

Congratulations to Cyndi Craig who continues to do well with her Frohwind offspring.  She recently rode 4 yo Faxximile to earn Training Level Champion and HDS High Score Amateur award with 70 and 72 at Training Level. The next day she rode Faeryn to win the Training Level Test 1 and T2 classes to be Training Level Champion and, again, the HDS High Score Amateur award! At his first rated Arabian dressage show, Faxx scored 70% and 73.5% and qualified for Regionals in July. He also earned the last two points needed for his Legion of Honor. WTG!

Congratulations to JW and Melinda Phillips, CO who are the owners and breeders of Astoria (Arrian/Diamont).  She was Champion Hanoverian mare at her inspections in Albuquerque, NM with 7.5 points and is now Elite Eligible.

Congratulations to Erin Boltik on the success of her Wradar gelding, Wranger.  They are currently in 3rd place in the 2008 USDF All-Breeds Awards standing at Second Level with a median score of 65.596% These are super results for Wranger in his first year of showing. Right behind Wranger in the preliminary award standings is Wrendition, also by Wradar owned and ridden by Tracy DySard. His median score is 65.144% This means that two out of the top five at Second Level are by Wradar!

Rebecca Splan of Virginia Tech reports that their Arrian filly.
Aurora VT, out of the Diwan daughter Dimple, was named Reserve Champion Filly from 13 fillies presented, at her recent inspections. She received an 8.2 for conformation and type, 8.6 for movement, and 8.4 for overall impression, with a final score of 8.4. Congratulations on the fine breeding program of Virginia Tech.

After winning the Suitability Class at Devon last year, Britta Johnston continues to do well with Archon - her 5 year old gelding by Arrian.  At the CDCTA Dressage show at Morven Park, May 3 and 4, they did very well in their training level classes with scores to 73.2%.

This is Kimberly Robbins and Serendipity by Wradar showing at the recent CDI in Lexington, Ky where they were  awarded the High Point Oldenburg Championship with a 72% at training level -open with comments from the judges such as "breathtaking mare with FEI potential"

Erin Boltik and  Wranger (Wradar/Pilar/Pik Bube) are off to a good start with their first dressage show in Mason City, IA this May. Wranger captured the Reserve Champion at Second Level at both the Bara Trac I and II with scores of 64% at Second Level Test 1 and 68% for Second Level Test 4 (which included two 9's for his canter work!) Erin says: "We are thrilled and excited for the future successes that seem to be in store for this Wradar offspring!"

Congratulations to Cyndi Craig on her recent showing of her Frohwind son,  Faxxsimile,  at the Spindletop Arabian Show last Friday, where he was awarded Champion Half-Arabian Sporthorse Gelding In-Hand. This is the latest of many In-Hand Championships that Faxx has earned.

Congratulations to Tracey Merlin, Yorkshire, England owner of Domani WF (aka "Doodle") by Dauphin out of our EM Lambada shown at the Shearwater British Young Dressage Horse 4 year old competition on March 27. He won this class with a 79.6 and is now qualified for the National Championships at Addington in August. "Doddle also qualified in June for the Badminton Dressage Championships.  Tracey says "He's a superstar!!!"

Another great start to the year was had by Cyndi Craig and her Faxxsimile by Frohwind. For the second year in a row Faxx won both his classes and was Champion Half-Arabian Sport Horse in Hand gelding at the January Jubilee at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, TX.

2007 Highlights:

 

Congratulations to Sharon Zaidins on her success with French Henry (Frohwind/ Double Feature) this year. They were Reserve out of 37 entries at the SWDC Championships and 3rd in the Region 9 Championships - Training Level with 69.6%. They won the HDS Training Championship with 70.4% and were 5th in the USDF All-Breeds Awards - Oldenburg/ISR for AA Training Level.

This lovely mare is Fleur de Lis by Frohwind out of Sweet Georgis Brown by Calvados, bred by Alice Gorsuch, OH and owned by Elizabeth Hoople, CA.  Fleur de Lis was the highest scoring mare out of all the ISR/Oldenburg inspections in 2007, with 115 points!

Peekaboo - a Frohwind/TB daughter owned by Merne Hayes and ridden by Verena Stock did great at the Lamplight, IL show on May18-19, winning four out of five of her Training Level classes with scores to 75%.

At the same show, Roccoca WF (Rienzi/Turteltaubchen) was Reserve Champion in the USEF/Markel FEI Young Horse Selection Trials

Cyndi Craig took her two year old Frohwind , Faxximile to an Arabian sporthorse show where they were First in the Amateur Division and Second in the open class to finish as Reserve Champion Sporthorse In-Hand Half Arabian Gelding. He scored 92 with perfect 10s for movement - both walk and trot - each time out! Good luck to tem both at the upcoming Arab Regionals! Cyndi has two other Frohwind offspring - Flying Colors and Faeryn. She'll be debuting with "Fling" at Second Level this year.

Congratulations to Deryn Stewart and her Der Radetzky daughter, D'Erin on their success at the Hutchison, KS show last weekend (June 2/3). They all won all four of their classes with scores from 65.5 - 70.2% and were First Level Champions.  They also won the MASA sponsored "Born in Mid-America" award. WTG!

In other local shows; at ODS Spring I and II in Shawnee May 5/6:

Allouette (Arrian/EM Witta) and Amanda Edwards won three of her four Training Level Classes with scores to 65.217% 
Falstaff (Frohwind/TB) and Martina Blood had a 1st, two 2nds and a 3rd place at Training Level with scores to 68.57%
Verena Stock and Wradar won all three of their Fourth Level classes with scores of 66 to 68.14% to achieve the Fourth Level scores necessary for Verena's Silver Medal
Amaya (Frohwind/Anja) and Lisa Fox were 2nd and 3rd in their classes with scores to 61.43%
Dante (Der Radetzky) and Patty Couch were 1st through 3rd in their classes with scores to 61.2%
Katianne (Frohwind/Katrona) and Kathy Hoyt won two of their 3 classes at First Level with scores to 64.72%
Verena Stock and Roccoca WF (Rienzi/Turteltaubchen) won both of the FEI 5YO classes with a 7.58 and 7.88 and both of her First Level classes with 70.67 and 74%
Fancy That (Frohwind/Banter) and Nancy Litsch rode at First Level with scores to 61.67%
Fanderelle (Frohwind/TB) and Julie Williams competed at First Level with scores to 61.94%
D'Erin (Der Radetzky/Akelei) and Deryn Stewart won three out of four of their First Level classes with scores to 64.44%
Eclipse (Der Radetzky/TB) and Mary Hawkins won two of their three Third Level classes with scores to 62.308%

How nice to see ELEVEN horses that were either by our Woodridge stallions or out of our Woodridge mares, all competing at the same show!

Congratulations to Lisa Fox and Amaya (by Frohwind) and Amanda Edwards on Allouette (by Arrian) on their success at the March 25 GCC Schooling Show. Amanda and Allouette won their Training Level Test 1-Am class with 73.043%. Lisa and Amaya won Training Level Test 2-Am with 73.571% and T4-Am with 69.6% to which also earned her the Amateur Training High Point Award

This is Mimi Benton and Dexter of Hot Springs, AR at a recent show. Last year they won the Training Level Championship and the Jim Bishop Perpetual Trophy with scores to 75%.  Dexter is a Hanoverian gelding by Der Radetzky out of Akelei and was bred by Woodridge Farm

Congratulations to Cyndi Craig on her success with Faxxcimile - a Half-Arabian yearling by Frohwind bred by Tracy Ammons, DVM, TX - at the ARABS January Jubilee, TX Jan 13. Faxx was Champion Half-Arabian Sporthorse Gelding In-Hand and High Score Half-Arabian! Cyndi says:"Most importantly, he was a very good boy and settled into the show routine very well".  He is now qualified for the Arabian Sporthorse Regional Championships in July.
